mark marshall’s world
I’m overwhelmed by the beauty of the Natural World that sustains and surounds us. My hobbies tend to reflect this. I’ve been a life-long collector of fossils, an astronomy nut and in my adult life, a scuba diver. I’ve always tried to collect my impressions and memories through photography and here are some of the results. While I’m no professional, 21st century technology makes even amateur photography look pretty good. I hope you enjoy some of these images. In the case of my Trilobite collection, the majority of the specimens shown were collected and prepared by very talented professionals. The attention to details in the preparation bring many of these beautiful creatures back to a life-like state, even after nearly half a billion years in some cases. Through photography I’ve able to take my love of astronomy past the stage of looking at white fuzzies through a telescope to capturing images rivaling those taken by professional astronomers in the 1980’s. I wish that my underwater photography was as good, but once in a while I’ve gotten a lucky shot or two.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
